From notes to an episode
The studio has two inputs: a topic line, or pasted text. For studying you use the second. The pipeline treats your text as the material the episode is built from. It researches around it to fill gaps and check facts, then writes a script that follows your notes rather than a generic summary of the subject. If your notes cover three theorems, the episode covers those three theorems.
Scripts are written for the ear, with pacing and transitions rather than bullet points read aloud, and the episode gets chapter markers so you can jump back to the part you keep getting wrong.
Pick the style that matches how you learn
- Educational: a teacher and a learner, step by step. The learner asks the question you would ask. Best for anything with method in it: maths, chemistry, law, code.
- Documentary: one narrator with expert voices. Best for history, literature, case studies, anything where the story carries the facts.
- Interview: an interviewer pressing an expert. Good for oral-exam practice, because you hear the questions before you hear the answers.
How long
Short is about ten minutes and costs one credit; that is one lecture. Standard is about thirty minutes for three credits; a week’s material. Deep Dive is about an hour for six credits and can carry a whole module before the exam. A new account has 5 credits and gets 3 more every month, so a Short episode per week is free. See pricing.
Good to know
- 80 languages. Paste notes in one language and have the episode in another if you study in a second language.
- The transcript is downloadable and searchable, so the episode doubles as a cleaned-up set of notes.
- Set the visibility to Private when you create it and the episode is yours alone. The studio defaults to Public, which lists the episode in Discover.
- Generated audio can contain mistakes. Check anything you will be graded on against the source; the editorial policy explains what is and is not reviewed by a person.
