Who makes PodThis
I'm Martin Andersen, the founder. I build PodThis: the studio, the production pipeline and this site. I also edit the PodThis Featured series and check every featured episode before it is released.
Making a podcast used to mean editing software, microphones and hours of post-production for every minute of audio. I wanted the only input to be an idea, and the output an episode you would actually listen to.

How PodThis uses AI
Every episode on PodThis is made with AI. Google Gemini researches the topic, writes the script, the chapters and the summary, and draws the cover art. Gemini text-to-speech or Cartesia voices it, depending on the style and the language. An automated check rewrites stock phrasing in the script before any voice records it.
Episodes on a creator's profile are made by that creator and are not reviewed by a person. Featured series are different: I listen to, edit and fact-check each featured episode, and the page says so. If you find a mistake, write to support@podthis.co with the episode link and the timestamp.

What PodThis stands for
Free accounts use the same studio, styles and languages as paying ones. You start with 5 credits and get 3 more each month. Paid plans add credits.
Your content stays yours. Your podcasts are not used to train models and your data is not sold. You decide per episode whether it is public, unlisted or private.
Episodes are mastered to podcast loudness (−16 LUFS), researched from several sources and voiced to fit the style: a cast for interviews and documentaries, one calm narrator for bedtime stories and meditations. I would rather ship fewer features that work well.
